God completes ...

If a good thing is done, it is equally important that it be done with right intentions and motivation. A good thing done with the wrong motivation leads to despair.

If the motivation to do something good comes from the flesh, the good thing will never flourish and would not be persevered by the doer. If the motivation comes from the Holy Spirit, the good thing will flourish and can be persevered by the doer, for the Spirit strengthens the doer.

It is the nature and character of the Holy Spirit to complete what He starts; this is not the property of the flesh. Flesh is weak and is easily broken; Spirit is strong, and tarries.

Whatever you do, do it for the glory of the Father God. If the aim is not His glorification, then it is not worth doing. If the motivation is to escape, avoid, obtain personal pleasures, polish ego, or justify self, then the decision is evil and will not be blessed of God.

On the other hand, if the motivation is to obey God, please God, show genuine respect for God and His Word, walk in love, peace and purity, promote church, make peace, use a talent/skill/knowledge to obey/worship/follow God, encourage and exhort others to know and follow Jesus - then the decision is holy and will be blessed, promoted, and nourished by God. He would Himself take lead in those matters and ensure completion.
