Unparalleled Faithfulness

[16] Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego answered and said to the king, "O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. [17] If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. [18] But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up." Daniel 3:16-18 We often hear prayers and faith statements bearing the reaction of the three friends known for sheer guts in the face of an angry king. I have certainly no problem bearing in mind that when they were thrown into raging fire, they did not fight back the guards that threw them in. I also bear no doubt that they were clueless as to what God would perform on their behalf. They had seemingly, any rational mind would say, got carried away too far in the emotion. You remember the love of God? Hold on to that thought, pilgrim - you're on your way to see greater glory of the Beloved. *** The words that come from heaven, go to heaven. Let heaven guide your way. *** If the Word of God is the lamp to my feet, God Holy Spirit is the hand that holds the lamp to me, His finger pointing out His way. *** The LORD doesn't need to put on display His almighty power to show that man is but a worm. He can humble us with His sheer goodness. *** When you are in trouble and the LORD says He's teaching you, it doesn't mean He's teaching you through trouble; He means He's teaching you even in trouble and He's teaching you to get out of it His way. *** The LORD our God is a loving Father. He doesn't need pain, torment, lack, disease to teach us, to bring us closer to Him. His love and goodness shower upon us to bring us closer to His presence. ***

There was a dark colored curtain on the other side that enabled the reflection. I closed my eyes as I turned up the volume of the worship songs on the iPod. Suddenly, I opened my eyes – probably just to check the distance – I saw the curtain slightly pulled back, and I could see the road out of the windscreen. And right here begins the small discussion of an eye-opener. When you stop looking at yourself, you start seeing the way. I smiled. And closed my eyes, listening still to the worship songs. Few minutes later, I opened my eyes again. The curtain had flown back a bit and now I could see a partial reflection – my face was not reflected, but a side of my hair was. But in the place where my face should've been reflected, I saw the road ahead. If you look at the way long enough, you start to look like Him. The curtain slipped back further, till I saw a partial
